Rules
It
is a condition of entry that exhibitors agree to be bound by
the rules hereunder.
Any
person who is found to be abusive, violent or aggressive towards
any official connected to a show will be asked to leave the showground
Immediately.
Any objection must be made in writing with a deposit of £15.00 in cash
(refundable if the objection is upheld) within 30 minutes of the class taking
place.
The organising Committee accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss,
injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the showground,
car parks or approaches.
Entry fees will not be refunded and it is the responsibility of the exhibitor
to ensure that their entry is correct eligible and available when called for
their class.
A correctly fitted chin strap must be worn. by all competitors, riders and
judges whilst mounted. Correctly secured British Standard Skull caps/riding
hats nos. EN1384, PAS015 or PAS accredited must be worn.
Entries for affiliated classes will also be bound by the Rules and Conditions
in force at the time of showing applicable to that Association and the class
in which they are exhibiting. It is deemed by the organising Committee that
exhibitors are conversant with any such rules, conditions or directives.
The organising Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes and
alter or amend the running order of classes.
Stallions and colts must be adequately bitted and under the control of a competent
rider/handler.
Stallions
of 2 years and over in classes 5 and 21 must be licenced.
Exhibitors must enter the ring wearing the numbers allocated for that class.
The Committee reserves the right to expel any animal from the ring which in
their opinion is not deemed to be fit or under sufficient control.
Show canes or whips to be no longer than 75 cms/30 inches.
Horses/ponies must enter and leave the ring at a walk.
Horses/ponies which have been bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge,
his/her immediate family or employer are not eligible for that class.
Mountain and Moorland ponies must be:-
a) Shown in
their natural state.
b) Registered
with their respective Breed Society.
c) Registration
number quoted on entry forms.
Brood mares with foal at foot will be eligible for entry. Foals must accompany
mares into the ring but must be haltered and under control of a competent handler.
Foals must be at least 3 weeks old on the day of the show and mares 4 years
and over.
Lead rein ponies will be shown in a snaffle bridle only. Lead reins attached
to the noseband.
The mucking out of horse boxes/trailers is not permitted on the showground.
The first class in each ring will commence at 9.00 a.m. prompt. Classes will
follow on.
Exhibitors must take into consideration that classes may clash. If this occurs,
they must nominate which class they wish to compete in.
No nomination or substitution entries will be accepted.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on the showground.
Please do not leave litter.
A perpetual trophy won by a competitor must be returned at the appropriate
time to the Secretary either by hand or by registered post. Any lost trophies
will have to be paid for at their replacement value.
In
the event of a show being cancelled, entry fees, less a £2 deduction
per entry for administration charges, will be refunded. |
