NCPA Derbyshire
Hello and Welcome to NCPA Derbyshire.
Through this website we hope to keep our members updated about forthcoming events, show results, and any other relevant information.
We currently run three shows a year. Our competitors range from showing newcomers to HOYS champions, everyone is welcome as long as they want to have fun.
The highlight of our social events calendar is the Winter Ball which is held in the beautiful setting of Hassop Hall, in the heart of Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Festival NEWS
CHANGE OF JUDGE
Zara Pawley has withdrawn due to family health problems and her classes will now be judged by : HOYS Cobs, including Maxi Cob. Alwyne Fradley ( Ride) and HOYS Working Hunter ( Ride ) Mrs A Varley.

Our second Through the Judge’s Eyes clinic held on the 8th of April at Barleyfields, Etwall with Mr Brian Williams was a great success. Mr Williams certainly knew his stuff and with the help of the volunteer ponies and jockeys was able to offer constructive criticism and advice, all in all a very successful venture.
Derbyshire Branch would like to thank all who attended and especially our volunteers, who worked very hard.
Derbyshire Festival Spring Show, held at Field House Marchington, saw an increase in entries despite clashing with the NPS Spring Festival. The worker courses built by David Norlander were very impressive and that, combined with the brilliant arena meant that no one who qualified at Marchington need fear what the RIHS has to offer. Picton entries were also up and there were some really lovely animals forward. The future is bright. Sadly, the In Hand entries were virtually non existent and it’s hard to justify the allotted ring time.
Onward now to Derbyshire Festival, online entries will be opening later this week.
Due to the exhorbitant cost of postage NCPA Derbyshire propose that all future newsletters and schedules will be sent by Email. Please forward your email address to Jayne McAuliffe as per contacts page. Also if you know of any members who do not have access to the internet I would be grateful if you could ask them to also register with me if they wish to continue with postal communication. All schedules will be available via Email, to download or by post. Please send SAE to the relevant show secretary as per forthcoming events page.
